Majority Leader of the Ogun State House of Assembly, Honorable Sherif Abiodun Yusuf has appealed to youths to view politics from a positive perspective, rather than a dirty game.
Honorable Yusuf who emphasised that politics should not be seen as a dirty game maintained that if the country is to develop holistically, there needs to be more youth participation in politics.

He told Travellers Magszine that the government of Abiodun has done a lot of good to change the lives of the people positively.
“Well, so far, so good, we have done a lot of things to make a good impact in the lives of our people that voted us to the office,” he stated.
The lawmaker equally noted that, as legislators, their primary responsibilities entail representing their constituents very well at the State House of Assembly, as well as to advocate for the needs of their people and address the problems they are facing at the grassroot.

Honorable Yusuf was full of praise for the remarkable impact of the governor Abiodun.
In his words: “Ogun State governor has been doing great. it’s just that he is not the kind of person who advertises himself unlike some governors in the past that waste money on advert alone. He has done a whole lot within a year in office. Some of these projects are visible as seen in Ikola and Navy roads which links Lagos State and, has projected a great image in Otta, Ogun State. It was reflected in my innaugural speech made in Ado/odo, Ota where I made it clear that we don’t have good roads in Ota”.
Speaking further, the lawmaker disclosed that the government is facing a lot of challenges due to the Covid -19, adding that the federal allocation and IGR have dropped.
“We just have to review the annual budget. We have been doing some palliative works here in Ojuore, Sango garage and also at Joju side of the road. The governor has promised us that he will never be a one party governor. He promised to be a governor of the state and to do that, one must listen to the complaints of the state in which there is less resources. Our people should therefore, exercise patience because we will still enjoy.
“We have done a lot during 365 days and we have nothing less than 20 laws and about 16 resolutions. We have Investment Laws, Sports Commission Laws and a lot more in order to encourage people to start engaging in sports activities,” he noted.
On some of life changing programmes he has undertaken in his constituency, Honorable Yusuf said he has empowered the NIMC in such a manner that it will be able to fastrack the procurement of the National Identity Cards for the people especially the students who urgently need them for their admissions.
He pledged to serve his people diligently and advised electorates to always vote for leaders who have integrity and not those out to enrich themselves.
He equally advised government to put efforts in developmental projects such as building of refineries in each state and, to stop the issue of exporting crude oil and importing it back . He also canvassed for the upliftment of African culture while condemning those aspects that are not good
“We need to build refineries in each states, no matter how small. This is because such project makes distribution flow well in the country.
“There are parts of our culture which need to be eradicated. Our way of life is too expensive so we need to cut our excesses,” he admonished.
